Come explore one of the largest collections of Bibles in the world! The American Bible Society Library highlights hundreds of years of translation and printing history, and serves as a depository for new scripture translations from around the world. It includes more than 55,000 titles representing over 2,200 languages and dialects from the thirteenth century to the present. Classical Bible editions, rare translations, illustrated manuscripts and exquisitely bound volumes form a large part of the collection.
The Virtual Library is being created to allow you the visitor an opportunity online to discover the rare documents and Bibles that ABS has to offer without stepping outside your door. This collection will slowly come alive online through a process of digitization that ABS is undertaking so come back often as we build this exciting online resource.
