Live in Union with God and Celebrate Unity in Christ Jesus

My prayer is that light will flood your hearts and that you will understand the hope that was given to you when God chose you. Ephesians 1:18a

Cut out pictures of things that give light. Paste them on cardboard. Underneath it write: “Jesus is the light of the world.”

God’s wonderful kindness is what saves you. Ephesians 2:5b

Write an acrostic for KINDNESS. Hint: King Jesus listens when I pray. I am blessed by God; etc.

I want you to know all about Christ’s love. Ephesians 3:19a

Draw a large heart. Write: Jesus loves---- (Fill your name in the blank space).

Let the Spirit change your way of thinking. Ephesians 4:23

Pray and ask God to help you keep your thoughts clean.

These are evil times, so make every minute count. Ephesians 5:16

Use an appointment book or calendar and mark down the times you plan to spend reading your Bible, praying, or doing something special to cheer someone up.

LORD God of Israel, we praise you. Only you can work miracles. Psalm 72:18

Ask your parent or church school teacher to read you a Bible story about a miracle (Example Luke 8:26-56 or 9:10-17).

Put on all the armor that God gives. Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to defend yourself. And when the battle is over, you will still be standing firm. Ephesians 6:13

Dear Lord, help me at those times when I do not know what to do. Help me to remember I am a Christian when others try to tease or bully me. Put your arm and your armor around me so I can be safe.  Amen.

John told them, “If you have two coats, give one to someone who doesn’t have any. If you have food, share it with someone else.” Luke 3:11

Look around in your closet. Ask your parent or guardian if you can give away those clothes that no longer fit to a homeless shelter.

Jesus said: The Lord’s Spirit has come to me, because he has chosen me to tell the good news to the poor.” Luke 4:18a

Pray and ask God to provide for those who are poor. Get together with some friends and think of ways you can help those who are less fortunate then yourselves.

Jesus said, “People in other towns must hear the good news about God’s kingdom. That’s why I was sent.” Luke 4:43

Draw a newspaper with the words “Good News” as the headline. Write a paragraph explaining what the news is.

Jesus would often go to some place where he could be alone and pray. Luke 5:16

Find a quiet place in your house and use that as your personal place of prayer.

Jesus answered, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor, but sick people do.” Luke 5:31

Draw a child in a doctor’s office. Write something in a bubble over the doctor’s head.

Jesus asked, “On the Sabbath should we do good deeds or evil deeds? Should we save someone’s life or destroy it?” Luke 6:9

Answer Jesus’ questions. Do a good deed for someone today.

The people said: “A great prophet is here with us! God has come to his people.” Luke 7:16b

Dear Jesus, I am so glad that you came to earth to be among us. I am thankful that you are more than a prophet: you are Jesus, the Son of God. Help me to worship and to praise you. Amen.

Wisdom is shown to be right by what its followers do. Luke 7:35

Pray and ask God to give you wisdom to choose the right friends.

Jesus told the woman, “Because of your faith, you are now saved. May God give you peace!” Luke 7:50

Pray that God will give you the confidence to tell him what you need and to thank him for what he has given you.

The apostles …went from village to village, telling the good news and healing people everywhere. Luke 9:6

Draw a picture of a missionary in a far away country or someone in your town who shares God’s message with others.

From the cloud a voice spoke, “This is my chosen Son. Listen to what he says!” Luke 9:35

Pray and ask God to make you obedient to your parents and all those who are in authority over you.

Jesus said, “Foxes have dens, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man doesn’t have a place to call his own.” Luke 9:58

Write down where the following animals live: bees, horses, lions, beavers.

Jesus said: As soon as you enter a home, say, “God bless this home with peace.” Luke 10:5

Draw a picture of a house. Put hearts and other symbols for windows and doors. Write “Peace” on the front door.

Jesus said: I want all of them to be one with each other, just as I am one with you and you are one with me. I also want them to be one with us. John 17:21a

Dear Jesus, I am thankful that I am part of your family. Help me to love others just as you love me. Amen.

Jesus said: “Go back home and tell everyone how much God has done for you.” Luke 8:39a

Tell what God has done for you by cutting out words from a newspaper or magazine. Paste it on cardboard.

Jesus said: “Don’t worry! Have faith.” Luke 8:50b

Write down five reasons why you have faith in God.

When Jesus got there, he looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, hurry down! I want to stay with you today.”  Luke 19:5

Ask your parent if you can invite someone in your school who does not have many friends to visit with you.

Suddenly something like fish scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see. He got up and was baptized. Acts 9:18

Fish are covered with scales. Find out what these animals are covered with: hamsters; sheep; beavers; porcupines.

The church in Judea, Galilee, and Samaria now had a time of peace and kept on worshiping the Lord. Acts 9:31a

Write down the name of your place of worship. Describe how the people worship God when they gather together.

All of us here are in the presence of the Lord God, so that we can hear what he has to say. Acts 10:33b

When you say prayers today, allow a time of silence so you can listen to God.

God is pleased with everyone who worships him and does right, no matter what nation they come from. Acts 10:35

Dear God, I really do want to do right. Help me to love and respect all those who come from other nations because you love us and have made us all. Amen.

Peter said: “I don’t have any silver or gold! But I will give you what I do have. In the name of Jesus Christ from Nazareth, get up and start walking.” Acts 3:6

Think about what you have that is worth more to you than money. (Hint: Jesus, parents, life, friends, family)

Only Jesus has the power to save! His name is the only one in all the world that can save anyone. Acts 4:12

Write down four different names for Jesus. Hint: Messiah, etc. Ask an adult to use a Concordance and find a Bible verse or story that mentions “the name of Jesus Christ of (from) Nazareth.”

Peter and John said: Lord…We are your servants. So make us brave enough to speak your message. Acts 4:29

Write a message to someone telling of the goodness of God.
