Underneath it write: “Jesus is the light of the
world.” Write an
acrostic for KINDNESS. Hint: King Jesus listens when I

blank space). Pray and ask God
to help you keep your thoughts
clean. Use an
appointment book or calendar and mark down the times you
plan to spend reading your Bible, praying, or doing
something special to cheer someone up.
Ask your parent
or church school teacher to read you a Bible story about
a miracle (Example Luke 8:26-56 or
9:10-17). Dear Lord, help
me at those times when I do not know what to do. Help me
to remember I am a Christian when others try to tease or
bully me. Put your arm and your armor around me so I can
be safe.
Amen. John told them,
“If you have two coats, give one to someone who doesn’t
have any. If you have food, share it with someone else.”

your closet. Ask your parent or guardian if you can give
away those clothes that no longer fit to a homeless
shelter. Pray and ask God
to provide for those who are poor. Get together with
some friends and think of ways you can help those who
are less fortunate then
yourselves. Jesus said,
“People in other towns must hear the good news about
God’s kingdom. That’s why I was sent.” Luke

with the words “Good News” as the headline. Write a
paragraph explaining what the news
is. Find a quiet
place in your house and use that as your personal place
of prayer. Draw a child in
a doctor’s office. Write something in a bubble over the
doctor’s head. Jesus asked, “On
the Sabbath should we do good deeds or evil deeds?
Should we save someone’s life or destroy it?” Luke
6:9 Answer Jesus’
questions. Do a good deed for someone
today. Dear Jesus, I am
so glad that you came to earth to be among us. I am
thankful that you are more than a prophet: you are
Jesus, the Son of God. Help me to worship and to praise
you. Amen. Pray and ask God
to give you wisdom to choose the right
friends. Pray that God
will give you the confidence to tell him what you need
and to thank him for what he has given
you. Draw a picture
of a missionary in a far away country or someone in your
town who shares God’s message with
others. Pray and ask God
to make you obedient to your parents and all those who
are in authority over
you. Write down where
the following animals live: bees, horses, lions,
beavers. Draw a picture
of a house. Put hearts and other symbols for windows and
doors. Write “Peace” on the front
door. Dear Jesus, I am
thankful that I am part of your family. Help me to love
others just as you love me.
Amen. Tell what God
has done for you by cutting out words from a newspaper
or magazine. Paste it on
cardboard. Write down five
reasons why you have faith in
God. Ask your parent
if you can invite someone in your school who does not
have many friends to visit with
you. Fish are covered
with scales. Find out what these animals are covered
with: hamsters; sheep; beavers;
porcupines. Write down the
name of your place of worship. Describe how the people
worship God when they gather together.
When you say
prayers today, allow a time of silence so you can listen
to God. Dear God, I
really do want to do right. Help me to love and respect
all those who come from other nations because you love
us and have made us all.
Amen. Think about what
you have that is worth more to you than money. (Hint:
Jesus, parents, life, friends,
family) Write down four
different names for Jesus. Hint: Messiah, etc. Ask an
adult to use a Concordance and find a Bible verse or
story that mentions “the name of Jesus Christ of (from)
Nazareth.” Write a message
to someone telling of the goodness of
God. |
